Elevate Your Culinary Experience with a Wolf Range Cooker4 min read

We step into the world of Sub-Zero Wolf, a luxury appliance brand that maximises your culinary experience at the heart of your home. They have led the line in home refrigeration and cooking for over 70 years. Every one of their appliances is meticulously crafted and expertly engineered, bringing professional quality to the home.

Do you have a love for cooking or consider yourself a kitchen pro? In this blog, we particularly look at the Wolf Range Cooker which we have just recently installed in our brand-new showroom. Regarding top-performing kitchen appliances, Wolf is a brand that cannot be left out of the conversation.

The History of Wolf

It all started in 1934, when two brothers AI and Hyman set up a shop repairing and reconditioning household kitchen ranges. Keeping up with the demand from customers’ specifications and preferences, the two brothers soon developed the skill of modifying these appliances and even large restaurants would use their expertise. After the demand, the Wolf brothers soon launched a commercial enterprise where they would build their professional range of kitchen supplies for restaurants and industrial cooking.

They then would create a separate line of home kitchen ranges engineered to provide customers with the identical high-quality, efficiency, performance, and durability found in their commercial products. While their size was scaled down to accommodate home kitchens, their performance was maintained at the same level as their commercial line.

Fast forward to a new millennium (2000) where an exciting new chapter begins for Wolf, where they converge with Sub-Zero, to create a brand identity that defines luxury, design, and professionalism. Sub-Zero was impressed with the Wolf brand and discovered that their equipment would complement their existing products.

Throughout Wolf’s history, Wolf ranges have consistently boasted trademarked red control knobs, a distinctive feature synonymous with the brand. The red knobs serve as a universal indicator to both casual observers and culinary connoisseurs that this range offers unparalleled cooking capabilities and cutting-edge features. While alternative options such as black or stainless steel knobs are available, the question remains: why opt for anything other than the iconic red?

The Wolf Range Cooker

In Wolf’s line of impressive range cookers, there are 11 to choose from to meet the unique needs and preferences of home cooks and professional chefs alike. With its classic professional look, eye-catching cobalt blue interior and iconic, famous red knobs, this beautiful bit of kit will be the chef’s best friend for many years to come.

Why is the interior a beautiful cobalt blue?

The interior of the Wolf range cooker is a beautiful cobalt blue for a reason. Engineered to reflect the oven lights during cooking, this feature provides a clearer view of your food as it cooks. Additionally, it withstands the higher temperatures necessary for pyrolytic cleaning.

Features

Pyrolytic cleaning has transformed oven maintenance. It means that there is no reason to scrub and get covered in grime anymore, as the oven will reach a maximum temperature of 400°C, turning any food residue and grease to a fine ash powder which can then be simply wiped away with a cloth.

The Dual convection system found in the Wolf Range Cooker sets it apart from other ranges on the market. Built with two fans and multiple heating elements, this system enables precise control over heat and airflow around the cooking elements. Exclusive to Wolf, this technology empowers cooks to achieve unparalleled consistency in their baking, roasting, and grilling techniques. Every dish receives the precise heat and airflow necessary for mouth-watering results.

Investing in a Wolf range cooker allows you to effortlessly bake flawless batches of cookies without needing to rotate trays, achieve golden perfection in your quiches, and cook tender beef using the temperature probe.

Operating the Wolf Range Cooker is simple as it has a flip-down display that can be changed from Fahrenheit to Celsius, you can set a cooking time and even set the temperature probe for precise cooking. Get full control via the iconic red knobs and scroll through 10 cooking modes. These include Bake, Broil, Convection, Convection Roast, Dehydrate, Gourmet, Proof, Roast, Stone, and Warm. All of these cooking modes were developed by Wolf chefs to maximise the performance of your oven.
