Walk-In Pantries

A walk-in pantry is a dedicated, room-style storage space off the kitchen, large enough to step inside, where dry goods, small appliances, glassware and everyday essentials are kept on bespoke shelving and in drawers. Unlike a single pantry cupboard, it gives you a whole room to organise, keeping the main kitchen calm and clutter-free.

A walk-in pantry can work in a surprisingly compact footprint. As a rough guide, a space around 1.2 by 1.5 metres is enough for shelving on two or three walls with room to step inside, though even a shallow single-wall run behind a door can hold a great deal. Because ours are bespoke, we design the layout around the exact space you have.

Dry goods and tinned food, baking ingredients, small appliances such as mixers and toasters, glassware, crockery, serving dishes and bulk shopping all live well in a walk-in pantry. Many clients also build in a worktop for a coffee station or food preparation, keeping these jobs out of the main kitchen entirely.

Adjustable solid timber shelving is the most practical choice, because it lets you change shelf heights as your storage needs change. We combine open shelves for everyday reach with deep drawers for heavier items, and often add features such as spice racks, wine storage and pull-out baskets, all handmade to suit what you keep.

A walk-in pantry is a room you step into, while a larder is a tall, deep cupboard built into the run of the kitchen. A larder suits kitchens without space for a separate room, offering much of the same organised storage behind beautiful doors.
