The Style – Interior & Exterior
Combining a Lay-On Shaker style with solid oak internals brings a harmonious blend of classic elegance and modern functionality.
The elegant exterior of the Lay-On Shaker characterises a minimalistic yet impactful design. Being hand-painted in a soft, muted tone, enhances the classic look and works well in this traditional home. Met with solid oak internals bringing a touch of natural warmth and durability to the space, the rich, organic texture is built to last.
Together, both bedrooms result in beautiful cabinetry that is as delightful on the inside as it is on the outside.
The Colours
Our client’s decision to choose Farrow & Ball’s Mizzle for the master and spare bedroom furniture was driven by a desire to create a calming and serene atmosphere. The soft, muted green-grey proved to be a huge part of the rooms’ story, where earthy tones would be complemented with handcrafted shaker-style furniture and solid oak tops.
Mizzle by F&B is a delicate blend of green and grey undertones, bringing a natural, earthy quality to both spaces. It is named after West Country evening skies when there is a mix of mist and drizzle.
Hand-painting our bespoke furniture in this colour reflects the client’s thoughtful approach to creating an inviting atmosphere, where every detail is the perfect example of comfort and style.
The Finishing Touches
Each of the bedrooms has its own finishing touches that highlight Planet Furniture’s commitment to creating bespoke bedroom furniture that enhances the visual appeal of the space with practical solutions for everyday living. They are built to meet the unique needs of our clients.
Master Bedroom
Utilising every inch of space, these floor-to-ceiling wardrobes are a true highlight, offering comprehensive storage solutions with a combination of full-length and short hanging space, drawers and shelves. They have even been built to the slope of the ceiling – this is exactly what bespoke cabinetry can do!
The handcrafted wall panelling adds depth and texture to the space, serving as a striking feature, anchoring the room behind the headboard. It has been complemented with a solid oak shelf above for decorative items.
On either side of the bed are bedside tables crafted with a solid oak top, an open shelf and a drawer below for discreet storage.
Spare Bedroom
Just like the master bedroom, the floor-to-ceiling wardrobes in the spare room maximise storage space leaving our client with a combination of shelves, drawers and long and short hanging options. It is tailored to meet the needs of any guest!
