Welcome to our calming, elegant bedroom, located in Hertfordshire! With a clear vision brought to us by our client, we created this fabulous master bedroom with our beautiful cabinetry. A well-designed bedroom should offer practicality and be pleasing to the eye. Our Lay-On Shaker furniture was meticulously crafted to enhance the space and delivered on all counts. This stylish space was fitted with bespoke wardrobes tailored to the room’s unique proportions and plenty of space to store all the different essentials.
The dream of perfectly executed bedroom furniture is to create a harmonious blend of beauty, comfort and functionality throughout its elements. It has to feel luxurious and deeply personal, and this project is the perfect example.

The Style – Interior & Exterior
Our Lay-On Shaker cabinetry was the choice of style, bringing a refined yet practical touch to the bedroom. Just as beautiful as the outside, the internals have been handcrafted from solid oak and integrated with soft lighting to enhance both visibility and ambience.
The main angled wardrobes have been designed to maximise every inch of space, regardless of the ceiling shape. Meanwhile, dedicated hanging space has been incorporated for long dresses, and overhead shelving for additional storage.
The Colours
This smokey green colour from Farrow & Ball was chosen for the warmth and elegant tone it beautifully creates. Green Smoke brings a nature-inspired yet sophisticated charm to the bespoke bedroom cabinetry and is the perfect backdrop to the overall aesthetics. Hand-picking the beautiful colours from the fabric on the blinds, padded seats, and cushions on the bed is how ‘Green Smoke’ was chosen.
Its inviting depth results in a serene and stylish retreat where classic craftsmanship meets contemporary elegance. It’s the perfect ambience to unwind at night.
Enhancing the cabinetry’s timeless appeal, polished chrome knobs and handles have been carefully selected to add a sleek contrast and a touch of understated luxury.
The Finishing Touches
It wasn’t just the specially designed wardrobes to fit the space that were the function of the room, it was the finishing touch of the crafted nook we built into the window area. This beautiful area is perfect for relaxation, where a bespoke corner bench seat offers both style and practicality in mind. With all things considered, a built-in drawer and open storage are featured beneath. It’s the ideal solution to neatly store baskets and extra linens. Our team upholstered the bench in the same stunning green and blue landscape fabric, seen on the blinds and bed cushions.
Something else that was added to the design was the two freestanding tall chests of drawers that filled a blank wall. Our client required more storage, and our designer came up with this to provide ample storage while maintaining a balanced aesthetic. These elegant pieces complement the flow of the furniture and are a visual harmony.
