Armac Martin

Armac Martin is a British luxury cabinet hardware maker, founded in 1929 in Birmingham. Every piece of hardware is made from solid brass in the company’s Birmingham factory and finished by hand. The range covers cabinet knobs, handles, pulls, pull rings and bespoke accessories including the much-loved Brindley hanging wine glass rack. At Planet Furniture we specify Armac Martin hardware as a signature finishing detail on our bespoke handcrafted kitchens.

Solid Brass Cabinet Hardware

Cheap cabinet handles are typically zinc alloy with a plated finish that wears off over a few years. Armac Martin handles are solid brass throughout, which means the finish is the metal itself rather than a coating. Brass develops a soft natural patina with use, ages gracefully, and is virtually impossible to wear out.

The Brindley hanging wine glass rack is one of the brand’s most distinctive pieces. We often specify it as a statement detail above kitchen islands and in walk-in wine rooms. Across our in-frame shaker, lay-on shaker and handleless kitchens, Armac Martin handles are a regular specification.

Finishes and Customisation

Armac Martin offers around twelve standard finishes including Polished Brass, Aged Brass, Satin Brass, Polished Nickel, Polished Chrome, Matte Black, Gunmetal, Antique Bronze and Stainless Effect. The brand can also produce custom finishes for projects with specific requirements.

Most of our in-frame shaker projects use Aged Brass or Polished Nickel, giving a soft heritage feel. Our handleless and modern projects often use Gunmetal or Matte Black for a quieter, more contemporary aesthetic. The brand’s collections include Heritage, Sutton, Sandhurst and the larger statement Bakes & Kropp pieces, plus the Brindley hanging wine glass rack.
