Celebrating light, space and clean design, our Haringey project is built behind a Scandi-inspired kitchen where the cabinetry brings together the simplicity of Scandinavian living with the warmth of natural textures. Flooded with natural light and paired with state-of-the-art appliances, this newly created space feels both calming and contemporary.
We welcome you to step into our space that will instantly make you feel a sense of calm and balance. It’s a room where sunlight floods it, bouncing off soft neutral tones and highlighting the natural textures found within the design. This is an open-plan space that doesn’t just look beautiful, it feels like home!
The Style – Interior & Exterior
The philosophy of Scandinavian design lies in simplicity, functionality, and the honest use of natural materials, all of which come to life in this kitchen. Our Handleless Flat Slab Shaker cabinetry complements this ethos, offering the sense of clean lines and calm minimalism. Recessed finger pulls remove visible handles, and Planet Furniture’s seamless and uninterrupted design is born.
We planned the layout with an L-shaped design to maximise both storage and flow, using both old and new parts of the home. This natural division between the cooking and social zones is a testament to Planet Furniture’s work. The space still feels open and connected while ensuring everything is within easy reach of one another. Taking pride of place is the stylish social kitchen island, balancing beauty and functionality. It centres itself in the middle of the room and is designed as a practical and entertaining highlight.
Inside each of the cupboards and drawers, solid oak internals are revealed. These oak elements embody the essence of Scandinavian design and are a true example of our expertly handcrafted furniture, created with meticulous precision and using only the finest materials.
The Colours
We combined a natural palette with Oak Veneer stained in Mist 5% and Farrow & Ball’s Wevet. It’s where this two-tone combination creates a soft space, fitting in with the Scandi-style.
On the shorter length of the L-shaped layout and part of the corner, we hand-painted the cabinetry in Farrow & Ball Wevet, a delicate white with just a whisper of grey. This clean and understated hue is ideal for contemporary homes and was the perfect choice for our London Scandi project. The fresh and subtle contrast against the oak veneer enhances the sense of calm we have created.
Balancing the lightness of Wevet, the longer run of the L-shape, open shelving and the central island are finished in Oak Veneer, stained in Mist 5%. This natural finish grounds the design in the raw beauty of timber, a hallmark of Scandinavian style. Creating a gentle Mist stain allows the grain of the oak to remain visible, celebrating its organic character. Paired with “Wevet”, the two finishes create a harmonious play between light and natural tones, creating a crisp and airy atmosphere.
The Appliances
The choice of integrated appliances brings both performance and practicality to this Scandi-inspired kitchen.
First, the intelligence of the Siemens StudioLine 2in1 Venting Hob, which is housed along the main run, offers sleek cooking convenience with a powerful venting function that eliminates the need for an overhead extractor. This design maintains an uncluttered aesthetic, and the bank of Siemens ovens comprises a single oven and a compact oven that deliver state-of-the-art cooking technology all within easy reach.
Preserving the minimalist flow of the cabinetry within the Scandi-style, the integrated Neff dishwasher, along with a stacked Bosch tumble dryer and washing machine, is tucked discreetly behind the furniture.
Having a carefully considered appliance placement streamlines the layout and adheres to Scandinavian design principles.
The Sink Area
Positioned on the island and facing into the open-plan living space, the sink area is beautifully finished with the Caple Leesti 500 Undermount Granite Sink in crisp white and the Caple Novato Spray Tap in stainless steel. This sleek and durable fusion is all about performance and understated elegance. Not forgetting to mention the precision-cut drainer grooves that have been fabricated into the Marble Stratus Quartz worktop.
The overall design reflects the light tones typical in Scandi interiors and is where our client wanted to blend functionality with a sense of calm and airy simplicity.

The Finishing Touches
It’s often the details that make a kitchen truly special, and the finishing touches in our Haringey project are no exception.
Starting with the cleverly designed pantry-come-coffee station is a standout feature, fitted with door spice racks, pull-out drawers, and a cold shelf crafted from the same Marble Stratus Quartz worktop used throughout the kitchen. In addition to the kitchen’s functionality, a full-height pull-out pantry provides further storage in perfectly positioned shelving..
The Marble Stratus Quartz worktop is a striking replica of natural marble, which ties the entire scheme together and brings a durable surface to the kitchen. And the open shelving from the cube storage system above the hob to the open shelves on the island is perfect for displaying decorative items, plants and keeping cookery books close at hand.
LED integrated lighting is incorporated throughout the design to cast a subtle glow across the surfaces.
